Listed bridges & viaducts
Because of their architecture, construction or presence in the landscape, some disused bridges and viaducts are listed to afford them protection. British Railways Board (Residuary) is custodian of more than 60. Many viaducts are in private hands.
This list is by no means definitive but continues to grow. If you know of one we’ve overlooked, please drop us an email.
The ‘Info’ entry contains a link either to one of our stories or galleries, or an external website giving more information or pictures of the structure. By clicking on a red ‘Location’ name, you’ll be taken to a map showing where to find it.
