Fremington Station and signal box have been rebuilt to offer refreshments for walkers on Devon's Tarka Trail.

Ovenden Station, between Halifax and Queensbury, was built on the cheap as the Great Northern had no illusions about likely passenger numbers. Ironically, it's the line's only surviving station building.

Although the track is long gone and the canopies have disappeared, the former station at Kettleness survives as an activity centre for Cleveland's scouts. Can you guess which way the wind blows?

Despite being destroyed by fire in 1907, Halton's rebuilt station building still looks out on ramblers using the adjacent footpath.

Have a drink or two in Cymmer's old station building which last served railway customers in 1970.

The beautifully crafted entrance to Alnwick's former station is now the cover to an extensive book shop.
