The Buntingford branch – known as ‘The Bunt’ – served the villagers of Braughing (pronounced Braffing) for a little over a century. The station boasted a signal box and goods yard as well as a crossover and covered footbridge. After closure, the site declined and vegetation took hold before the son and grandson of the last stationmaster transformed it into an imaculate private residence.
