On this day 94 years ago, a man ran down the track from Drewton Tunnel to tell the signalman at Little Weighton that Drewton East box was on fire.
This short film features steam trains and DMUs running through snow-covered Teesdale between Barnard Castle and Bowes. It also shows a notice describing the Withdrawal of Rail Services between Darlington and Middleton-in-Teesdale.
Forgotten Relics records and celebrates the UK's disused railway structures, still standing as monuments to the period of ambition, courage and endeavour during which they were built.
