On this day 94 years ago, a man ran down the track from Drewton Tunnel to tell the signalman at Little Weighton that Drewton East box was on fire.
James Roberts was guard on the last train ever to press the sleepers of the Bala & Ffestiniog Railway. He recalls the role played by the line in the life of several remote, Welsh communities.
