On this day 94 years ago, a man ran down the track from Drewton Tunnel to tell the signalman at Little Weighton that Drewton East box was on fire.
Cine film taken by civil engineer James Watson from the leading end of a train as it slowly heads northwards over Alloa bridge. This structure crossed the Forth and included a swing span towards its northern end. This was fixed open to shipping in May 1970 when the line closed. Since then the deck sections have been removed, leaving only the piers in the river.
Forgotten Relics records and celebrates the UK's disused railway structures, still standing as monuments to the period of ambition, courage and endeavour during which they were built.
