A stable block is towered over by one of Goldielea's ten arches.
Almost 150 years after they were fashioned by John Miller (Junior), Goldielea’s deck and ten arches recently benefited from waterproofing works. Five bat roosts were discovered during the project. The curved, Grade A listed structure looks out over a mansion, formerly known as Goldielea after the Goldie family which acquired it in the late 18th Century. Robert Burns made visits here when it was owned by a friend of his wife during the 1790s.
